Requirements to work at ROCKET:

​

All locum team members should have some evidence of pre-hospital emergency medical experience (ambulance/RV).

 

We also advise that all locums have some current critical care experience – due to the nature of the work and the intensity of the work.

The following are the absolute requirements in order to start flying with us: 

 

• BLS Current

• ACLS and PALS Current

• AHCP Current

• ITLS Current (or ATLS)

• Ultrasound Basic Crash course or basics 

• ECG 18 Lead course

• Neonatal resus/retrieval course 

• DAMIT/EMOVA course

• Orientation at the base to orient around the use of the equipment and introduction to team dynamics.

 

Due to the physical nature of the work – an assessment must be completed prior to starting as a primary or secondary crew member

 

Submit copies of the below documents:

• ID copy

• CV

• Currently registered with HPCSA, and please provide:

  • HPCSA registration card

  • Original HPCSA registration certificate

• Clinical qualification certificate (ECP, MD, CCA, NDIP)
